Practice 01
Conscious Language
A practice for observing how language influences intention.
This practice involves noticing language that expresses hesitation, helplessness or delay and replacing it with clearer, more responsible statements.
How to Practise
- Notice expressions you used today such as “I will try,” “I should,” or “I cannot.”
- Observe the actual feeling behind each statement: fear, uncertainty, lack of interest or lack of clarity.
- Rewrite the statement using responsible language, such as “I will take the first step today” or “I am choosing not to do this.”
- Say the revised statement slowly and observe any change in your body and mind.
Reflective Intention
To observe the relationship between words, intention and personal responsibility.
Reflection Question
